I believe this video is very misleading and contradicts itself. Please get a real high speed camera before posting stuff like this.

I suggest everyone do a google on “Air Rifle Links and Demos”, there is a flash demo explaining all the recoils correctly.

Great video Dirt! I always wondered about springer recoil. I think the accuracy problems that some people have with springers is due to the fact that many people try to use a tight “death grip” on the rifle in hopes of counteracting the recoil. This video proves that doesn’t work. I’ve had best results with a calm, controlled, relaxed trigger pull (solenoid finger, haha). Thanks for posting this!

once you have the magic pellet, turn your BAM over, lock it down, take one shot on a clean target and zero your scope to that hole… your done! more Thrillers to follow on magic pellets and zeroing the scope.

    6. 1dirteharry says:

After the testing that I did, I would now say that you could mount your BAM upside down in a good gun vise that is locked down, put masking tape where I did as you saw in the Thriller and try different weights of pellets until you find the magic pellet. The BAM will pop forward but with the masking tape, you will be able to loosen the vise reset the gun exactly where it was for each shot. remember, move the target for initial positioning not the gun and make sure the target is locked down too.

I am interest in the answer to MrAirgunlover question – I have a BAM-40 and it is a bear to shoot… I “think” the artillery hold helps, am I wrong?
