Diana Rws 54

RWS Diana vs Weihrauch for tune ups?

Thanks for the previous help, what are your thoughts on this aspect though?

Simply I suppose, which will give me the most fpe/ft lbs after tuning it right up to its max, while not causing problems to the gun. For example, with guns such as the HW80 and HW90 and the Diana 48/52/54 and Diana 34 say, which can be tuned up to giving out 26-28 ft lbs of energy in .25 cal? Any of you got yours giving out this much after tuning? This excludes the 350 Diana mag and the other ‘ready to go’ high power models like the kodiak/patriot etc as I wish to tune up myself.
Many thanks hawaiian-who is jim? cf_45? anyway the reason i quoted those numbers is that some people seem to be getting them sometimes, or at least claiming to! more simply, rws diana or weihrauch, which is better made and which would tune up better? more power longer life, etc

You can get any gun tuned for max power, except gas rams, such as the HW90. BUT, I can guarantee you that you won’t hit a thing. Especially if you’re looking for 26-28 flbs out of a springer, NEVER HAPPENED. The only guns to put out that kind of numbers are PCP’s and those are tuned also. So, if you’re planning on doing you’re own tunes, don’t expect miracles. Tunning a springer will produce numbers between 12 to maybe 19,20 flbs, depending on what kind of gun, pellet, and pellet weight. Although there were stock guns such as the Pro Elite (not made anymore) that shot 20-22 flbs out of the box and is as accurate as a lazer. But getting back to tuning, it makes a big difference on where you get the spring, seal, and moly from. A stock spring will not get you those kinds of numbers. You need to get all the parts from Jim, he makes the best springs and seals in the world for most top manufacturers. He doesen’t make stuff for Gamo,
they’re on their own as far as aftermarket parts for tunning.
